Daviot Does Community Charity Work28th September 2016
Daviot has helped to overhaul the grounds of an amateur football club near to one of its project sites.
Daviot provided a bulldozer and driver free of charge to Staxigoe United FC to level off an area of the ground to improve its playing facilities.
Daviot has been working near to the village of Staxigoe with client ABB and their client SEE on a subsea cable link to accommodate a new generation of energy from renewable sources.
The work began in early 2015 and Daviot were contracted to excavate the cable trench, lay the cable and reinstate the trench.
Andrew Morrison, Project Manager at Caithness said: “Staxigoe is village close to the cable installation site that has seen a large amount of heavy construction traffic and it was felt by Daviot that using the equipment we had on site was a great way to give back to the community. Following this our client ABB and their client SSE have also decided they will be providing equipment to the benefit of the club.”
